On September 5, 2025, Scott expressed condolences following the death of a local educator: “Deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Professor Heather Hall from @CofC. Our hearts go out to her family, friends, colleagues, and students during this difficult time. Professor Hall’s dedication to education and her contributions to our community will be remembered.”
Two days later, on September 7, 2025, Scott congratulated a Charleston resident for a national achievement: “Congratulations to Charleston native Tess Ferm on being crowned Miss America’s Teen 2026! Your grace and advocacy for food allergy awareness are helping students and making South Carolina shine nationwide.”
On September 8, 2025, Scott highlighted an annual tradition he leads in South Carolina: “The South Carolina Prayer Breakfast is around the corner, and I’m honored to be hosting it for the 15th year. This year, we’ll reflect on how we can grow in faith, character, and purpose in ‘Ever Increasing Measure’ as public servants. Faith is the foundation our nation was”
Senator Tim Scott has served as one of South Carolina’s senators since 2013. The College of Charleston (CofC), referenced in his first post, is a public liberal arts university located in Charleston. The Miss America’s Teen competition is an annual event that recognizes outstanding young women from across the United States.
