Senator Tim Scott, who represents South Carolina in the U.S. Senate, shared a series of posts on social media regarding the 2026 State of the Union address and recent immigration developments.

On February 24, 2026, Scott commented on the upcoming presidential address: “Tonight, we’ll hear the State of the Union address from President Trump. Thanking God because America is BACK.”

Later that evening, he expressed his appreciation for his role during the event: “Honored to represent South Carolina on @POTUS’ SOTU Escort Committee alongside my @SenateGOP colleagues!” (February 25, 2026).

In a subsequent post on February 25, 2026, Scott addressed immigration policy: “In the past 9 months, 0 illegal immigrants have been released into the U.S. This is what leadership looks like.”

Scott offers constituent services such as assistance with federal agencies and community resources for South Carolina residents through his official office. He has played a significant role in economic development initiatives, including helping enact Opportunity Zones legislation in 2017 to promote private investment in distressed communities. Additionally, Scott participates in several Senate committees—Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs; Finance; Health, Education, Labor and Pensions; and Small Business and Entrepreneurship—and emphasizes workforce development and economic opportunity for his constituents. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern University.
