U.S. Senator Tim Scott, who represents South Carolina and serves on several Senate committees, recently posted a series of tweets highlighting local and international issues.
On January 13, 2026, Scott wrote, “Beaufort is ready to serve! @RepJoeWilson and I sent a letter to @SecNoem to select the Lowcountry for the @USCG’s new training base. Our community’s proven track record supporting our military, strategic location, and existing infrastructure make the Lowcountry the ideal choice.” The tweet references a joint effort with Representative Joe Wilson to advocate for Beaufort, South Carolina as the site for a new U.S. Coast Guard training base.
Shortly after, on the same day, Scott posted a link without additional commentary: “https://t.co/3HlySTvvuq”.
On January 14, 2026, Scott addressed foreign affairs by posting, “Let freedom ring in Iran.”
