Later that day, Scott expressed his condolences regarding an incident at Utah Valley University involving Charlie Kirk. At 19:42 UTC, he posted: “Keeping Charlie Kirk and his family in my prayers following today’s tragic incident at Utah Valley University.”
By late evening, Scott commented further on the situation with Kirk. At 22:21 UTC on September 10, he stated: “Lord, come quickly.
The assassination of Charlie Kirk is heartbreaking, disgusting, and disturbing. This political violence must end. This is not who we are as Americans. Charlie embodied how to debate our differences. We do it through words, not violence.

Charlie Kirk was known for his role as a conservative activist and commentator in American politics.
