South Carolina Senator Tim Scott addressed several issues affecting his constituents and the nation in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) between February 23 and February 24, 2026.
On February 23, Scott urged South Carolinians traveling in Mexico to register for a U.S. State Department program: “South Carolinians in Mexico: please sign up for the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) if you haven’t already. Enrolling allows the @StateDept to quickly contact you in the event of an emergency and provide important safety updates while you’re abroad. If you have family or”. Scott offers constituent services such as assistance with federal agencies and community resources to support South Carolina residents, according to his official website.
The following day, Scott marked National Angel Family Day by commemorating Americans who lost their lives due to crimes committed by undocumented immigrants. He stated on February 24: “On National Angel Family Day, we remember the innocent Americans whose lives have been taken by criminal illegal aliens. We stand with the Angel Families who carry that loss every day.”
Later that day, Scott commented on political discourse surrounding race and highlighted Republican initiatives supporting Black Americans: “While the left falls back on the tired, old race card, @POTUS and the Republican majority have stood strong and tall for Black Americans through:

Scott played a key role in enacting Opportunity Zones legislation in 2017 to encourage investment in economically distressed communities (source).
