Senator Tim Scott, a Republican representing South Carolina, posted several messages on his social media account between October 31 and November 1, 2025. His posts addressed issues ranging from domestic political disputes to international crises.
On October 31, 2025, Scott criticized Democratic lawmakers regarding the pay of Capitol Police officers. He wrote: “Capitol Police officers shouldn’t have to miss paychecks because of the Democrats’ political games.”
Later that day, he shared a seasonal message with his followers: “Have a safe and fun Halloween!” (October 31, 2025).
On November 1, 2025, Scott commented on international developments in Africa. He stated: “The recent atrocities in Darfur and the ongoing civil war in Sudan are not only horrifying but also a threat to U.S. security. Decisive action is needed to end this catastrophic war immediately.”
Senator Scott has previously voiced concerns about law enforcement funding during periods of legislative gridlock. In recent years, Congress has faced multiple budget impasses that threatened government operations and delayed payments for federal employees such as Capitol Police officers.
Regarding Sudan, the country has experienced renewed violence since April 2023 when conflict erupted between rival military factions. The humanitarian crisis in Darfur has drawn condemnation from international organizations due to widespread reports of atrocities and displacement.
