Senator Tim Scott has recently used his social media platform to address regulatory policy, personal milestones, and a significant military anniversary.
On August 2, 2025, Scott commented on financial regulation, stating: “Unelected bureaucrats shouldn’t pick winners and losers based on their political preferences. The FIRM Act stops regulators from abusing “reputational risk” to cut off financial services to law-abiding Americans and businesses.” This message refers to the Fair Access to Banking Act (FIRM Act), which aims to prevent federal banking regulators from denying lawful businesses access to financial services based on subjective reputational concerns rather than clear legal violations.
The following day, August 3, 2025, Scott shared a personal message in celebration of his wedding anniversary. He wrote: ““An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.” – Proverbs 31:10
By the grace of God, I found her. Happy anniversary to my beautiful wife and best friend!”
On August 4, 2025, Scott marked the U.S. Coast Guard’s birthday by posting: “Happy 235th birthday to the @USCG!
Thank you to the men and women of the Coast Guard who remain Semper Paratus – Always Ready to serve our nation, defend our shores, and save lives.” The U.S. Coast Guard was established in 1790 and continues its mission as one of America’s five armed services.
Senator Tim Scott represents South Carolina in the United States Senate.
