Pam Bondi, a former Florida Attorney General, has faced criticism for her actions following the 2020 presidential election. Bondi, who has been accused of promoting false claims about the election results, was vocal in declaring Pennsylvania for Donald Trump despite evidence to the contrary.

In a press conference held shortly after Election Day 2020, Bondi asserted that Trump had won Pennsylvania even though only 87 percent of ballots had been counted at that time. Trump ultimately lost Pennsylvania by more than 80,000 votes. Bondi's statements and actions have drawn attention due to their alignment with Trump's unsubstantiated claims regarding the election outcome.

Seth Bluestein, a Republican election official, reported receiving antisemitic harassment and threats after being mentioned by Bondi during a press event. "Immediately following my name being mentioned, I started receiving antisemitic harassment and threats," Bluestein stated. He required police protection as a result of these threats.

Despite clear indications that Trump lost Pennsylvania, Bondi continued to challenge the results. She appeared on Fox & Friends two days after Election Day to repeat her claims and supported federal investigations into alleged voter fraud. Her involvement extended to serving as a litigation advisor for a pro-Trump legal organization that pursued multiple lawsuits related to the election.

U.S. Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin expressed concern over Bondi's actions in relation to the 2020 election. “Pam Bondi has proved herself loyal to Donald Trump and wealthy special interests—and not the American people," Durbin said in a statement. He emphasized the need for an Attorney General who would consistently protect voting rights without political bias.

Bondi's role in contesting the election results continues to be scrutinized as discussions around electoral integrity persist.
