U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) recently appeared on Fox News’ Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy to discuss the impact of Republican policies on minority communities and the success of school choice initiatives. During the interview, Senator Scott highlighted the devastating effects of the Biden economy on young people, emphasizing the rising inflation rates that hinder their ability to afford a home.

Scott stated, "Young people today are devastated economically because inflation is up again and the Biden economy is destroying their ability to buy a house. When interest rates are over 7% to buy a home, people just can’t afford it. In this economy, things could not be worse for people trying to buy their first house, and that devastation is showing up in the disapproval numbers for President Biden."

Furthermore, Senator Scott emphasized that Americans, including Hispanics, have a shared desire for safety, security, and opportunity. He mentioned that the Democrats' assumption that immigration was the top concern for Hispanics was incorrect. Instead, Hispanics prioritize taking care of their families, family values, good jobs, and tackling inflation. Scott noted that these factors have negatively impacted President Biden's support among Hispanics.

Scott said, "The good news for us, we have proven in the past – and we should do it again in the future – that we can create the most inclusive economy, create more than 7 million new jobs, where the Hispanic unemployment is the lowest ever recorded in the history of our country."

Moving on to discuss the impact of Democratic policies on minority neighborhoods, Senator Scott shared his experience visiting the south side of Chicago, where he had a conversation with an almost 100% Black audience about the importance of quality education. He highlighted the dire situation in New York City, where the poorest children are left without schools due to their utilization for illegal immigrants.

Scott stated, "You look at the fact that in the south side of Chicago, reading proficiency is really, really low – we need school choice, we need opportunity."

In conclusion, Senator Tim Scott shed light on the detrimental effects of progressive policies on minority communities and expressed his support for school choice initiatives. He highlighted the economic challenges faced by young people under the Biden administration, the shared desire for security and opportunity among Americans, and the need for quality education in marginalized neighborhoods.
