WASHINGTON — Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) has announced his senior staff members in both Washington, D.C. and South Carolina. Senator Scott expressed his confidence in the team, stating that "The wealth of legislative, management, and political experience this team brings to the table is invaluable in our fight to deliver for South Carolinians and the American people."
Adam Farris, who previously served as the senator's Legislative Director and Senior Policy Advisor, has been named Chief of Staff. Farris brings over ten years of Capitol Hill experience to the role and has also served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Senate Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor at the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management, where he teaches international trade policymaking.
Joe McKeown, a long-time advisor of Senator Scott, has been named Senior Advisor and will oversee state operations. McKeown has successfully managed Senator Scott's previous bids for Congress, including his recent reelection to the United States Senate. Prior to joining the senator's staff in 2010, McKeown and Senator Scott served concurrently on the Charleston County Council.
Chelsea DeCasper, who joined Senator Scott's team in 2015, has been appointed Deputy Chief of Staff. In her previous role as the senator's Administrative Director, DeCasper oversaw various aspects of the office's operations and ensured compliance with Senate rules and ethics.
Joshua Grant, who previously served as the Policy Director for Tim Scott for America, has been named Legislative Director. Grant brings over seven years of Capitol Hill and policy experience to the team. He holds a bachelor's degree from Benedict College, one of South Carolina's Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).
Katie Vincentz will continue to serve as Communications Director. Prior to joining Senator Scott's team, Vincentz worked as Congressman Lee Zeldin's Communications Director in both his official office in the House of Representatives and his statewide campaign for Governor of New York. With nearly ten years of Capitol Hill and campaign experience, Vincentz brings valuable expertise to the team.
