76.7% of Kershaw County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 64,989 citizens living in Kershaw County in 2021, 76.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 49,872 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 23,974 were male, constituting 48.1%, and 25,898 were female, making up 51.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Kershaw County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 78.1%.
