Election Day is Nov. 8!
Our school system is an economic driver for our community and attracts families and students to our area. The Chamber encourages all of our shareholders in the Lexington County School District One to learn about the candidates that will best serve our district.
The League of Women Voters held a school board candidate forum on Monday, Sept. 26. You can watch the livestream now on the Lexington District One’s YouTube channel.
On Election Day, Lexington District One voters will choose three individuals for three at-large seats on the Board of Trustees. Candidates include Harriet Coker, Richard Gehling, Aaron Granade, Dana Homesley, Katie McCown, Andrea Nazarenko, Nicholas Pizzuti, Mary Price, Chris Rice, Rhys Sage and Beth Shealy. Voters can find information about the candidates on the district’s website.

On behalf of the Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center’s Public Policy and Advocacy Committee, we would like to formally invite you to participate in an upcoming School Board Candidate Forum. The Chamber will be co-hosting this forum with The Lexington Chronicle.

in the auditorium/theater at the North Lake Community Learning Center,
702 N. Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072.
The forum will be free and open to the public. The purpose will be to provide an opportunity to inform Lexington voters, Chamber members, and interested community leaders about each candidate’s platform and their priorities.
The exact format of the Forum will be sent to you in October.

Quality schools attract residents and this keeps our economy strong. Moreover, quality education enhances student’s knowledge, and employers desire to have educated and talented workers within their workplace.
