City of Columbia issued the following announcement on February 16.

The City of Columbia Office of Business Opportunities will be hosting their Virtual Minority Business Opportunity Conference on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The Minority Business Opportunities Conference is for:

Minority and women owned businesses that are interested in doing business with the City of Columbia and our partnering agencies.

Participants will learn:

• The value of diversity and inclusion.
• The importance of supplier diversity in the public and private sector and how to strategically position your business to seize contracting opportunities.

You will all receive a comprehensive list of items procured by the City of Columbia departments and our Community Partners, as well as how to contact these offices.
