Greater Lexington Chamber & Visitors Center issued the following announcement on January 25.
Share Your Knowledge and Expertise
The Lexington Chamber will launch our spring series of “Mind Your Business” soon and we are now accepting presentation proposals from Chamber shareholders.
What is the goal of Mind Your Business?
Mind Your Business is designed as a complimentary lunch-n-learn educational program for current shareholders of the Lexington Chamber. Three to four sessions will be offered from February to June. All sessions will occur at the Chamber’s offices over lunch. Specific dates will be selected in partnership with the presenters.
We know that you have unique knowledge and expertise that can assist other shareholders in more effectively operating their business, managing their personnel, or learning new information to help them grow personally and professionally.
Businesses are continuing to adapt in a COVID-world with less employees and on-going staffing challenges. Do you have a story to share with others? Have you “pivoted” and are seeing results?
Examples of topics of interest to shareholders could be: marketing, social media, digital security, human resources, new benefits to attract workers, leadership topics, financial management and accounting tips, etc.
If you are interested in submitting a presentation proposal, email your proposal to Angelle LaBorde (angelle@lexingtonsc.org) and include the following responses to the following:
- Presentation Topic: What is the challenge / problem you are attempting to solve?
- Learning Objectives: Share 1 – 3 key concepts that you plan to cover in your presentation
- Action Items: Describe the action you want attendees to take as a result of your presentation
- Speaker Bio: Provide a biographical summary and why you’ve got the credibility to talk about this proposed subject.
