Mark Anthony Brewing recently announced that it would start the new year by recruiting over 150 people for its now-operational $400 million brewing and production facility in Columbia's Pineview Industrial Park, according to Richland County's website.

The company has scheduled an in-person recruiting event from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center at 1101 Lincoln Street, in order to help fill the available positions.

“Mark Anthony is a private, entrepreneurial company, built through innovation and by making long-term strategic investments in projects like this," John Sacksteder, president of Mark Anthony Brewing, said, according to the Richland County website.

The announcement of the company's Columbia facility in November 2020 marked one of the largest economic investments in Richland County's history.

"One of the primary reasons we selected Richland County was the spirit of collaboration and engagement from the state of South Carolina, the South Carolina Department of Commerce and the Richland County Council that have embraced our vision and understand our ambitious timeline to transform this location from initial concept to a fully operational facility in record time," Sacksteder said.

The new facility will provide essential capacity for meeting client demand in the Southern U.S., as well as on-site storage and distribution operations.

"Once complete, this new, state-of-the-art facility will be a center of excellence for our patented PureBrew process, which allows White Claw, Mike’s and our growing portfolio of market-leading beverages to taste like no other,” Sacksteder explained.

White Claw Hard Seltzer, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Mike's Harder Lemonade and Cayman Jack Cocktails will be produced in the company's new facility.

Mark Anthony Brewing is seeking job applicants with a variety of experiences, education and skill sets, ranging from entry-level to highly experienced brewery operations positions.

These open positions include brewing operator, utility technician, quality lab technician, warehouse clerk, shipping and receiving operator, maintenance planner/scheduler, maintenance technician, packaging operator and lead.
