Kershaw County issued the following announcement on December 17.
Kershaw County, SC – Kershaw County has announced the hiring of Dan Lambert as the County’s new Engineer. A licensed PE, Lambert has an extensive 36-year career in engineering in both private and public sector.
With Grade B environmental certifications in biological wastewater and water distribution, Lambert will use his specialized knowledge to oversee the County’s utilities department and engineering activities, stormwater MS4 program, and lend assistance to County departments including public works and planning and zoning that require heavy engineering support.
With a bachelor’s degree in engineering from The University of South Carolina, Lambert was previously the Engineer for The Town of Chapin for the past seven years before accepting the position with Kershaw County. Prior to that, he spent 30 years in the private industry that included six years of owning his own firm. A founding owner of the American Engineering Consultants of Cayce, South Carolina, Dan was also a site engineer for the Target Distribution Center located in Lugoff.
Lambert will use his background in utility design, water and sewer, elevated storage tanks as well as force and gravity lines for the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors in his new position.
