Greater Lexington Chamber & Visitors Center issued the following announcement on November 16.

South Carolina Department of Commerce Business Services Division will provide free monthly webinars that focus on workforce and retention options to help support your S.C. business.  Speakers from across the state will provide information on available staffing programs, workforce resources, state labor laws and regulations, and other timely information that can assist your business continued success in the Palmetto State.

Join this webinar to hear from Colin Trimble, Community Outreach And Resource Planning Specialist, U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division to:

  • Learn about the role of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division in enforcing federal labor laws and educating employers about their responsibilities
  • Learn about essential protections for essential workers under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • Learn about online resources available to employers to help them stay in compliance
