Citadel Brands LLC will establish operations in Williamsburg County, creating 116 new jobs with a more than $7.5 million investment.

The clothing apparel company said recently they are excited to be moving operations to Williamsburg County, according to a press release from Gov. Henry McMaster's office.

“Being a native of Kingstree brings me great joy in providing opportunity to longtime residents. The infrastructure in the area provides ease of transportation to our newly constructed warehouse and additional possibilities with the movement of our products across the United States," Greg Brown, COO of Citadel Brands, said in the governor's office release. "We are looking forward to working with the county on finding employees who are excited about being a part of a growing company with long-term goals firmly in place.

"Thank you, Williamsburg County!”

According to its website, Citadel Brands is a new company specializing in promotional clothing and apparel. It recently opened up for business in neighboring Charlotte, North Carolina.

Located at 955 N. Williamsburg County Highway in Kingstree, the new facility is expected to increase distribution capacity and promote future growth for new brands and products, the release said.

A $200,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant has been awarded to the county to assist with costs related to the project.

The expansion is expected to be operational by June 2022. Individuals interested in filling one of the 116 new positions should email jobs@citadelbrands.com.
