South Carolina State Museum: Fright Night Laser Lights

Pumpkin planetarium at growl at the moon slider

South Carolina State Museum recently issued the following announcement.

Enjoy a frightful night at the State Museum featuring a special laser show choreographed to iconic rock tunes in the museum’s planetarium, Dark History Tours and more. Come dressed in your creative costumes and join us for an evening featuring:

  • Dark Side of the Moon planetarium laser show experience featuring the music of legendary rock band Pink Floyd
  • ‘Dark History Tours’ through the museum galleries
  • Food available for purchase from local food trucks
  • Cash bar with specialty cocktail as well as beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages
  • And more!
For health and safety, the museum is managing event and theater capacity to facilitate social distancing. Per City of Columbia Ordinance, guests are required to wear a face covering.

Please note: Per CDC guidelines, a costume mask cannot be used as a substitute for a face covering unless it is made of two or more layers of breathable fabric that covers your mouth and nose and does not leave gaps around your face. The CDC also recommends that people do not wear a costume mask over a face covering because it can be dangerous if the costume mask makes it hard to breath. Instead, consider using a Halloween-themed face covering.
