The University of South Carolina men's soccer team fell, 2-1, to Presbyterian Blue Hose on Sept. 7 at Stone Stadium, according to gamecocksonline.com.
Presbyterian's Junior Mamadu Bah netted the game-winner in in the 78th minute. He also scored the game's first goal in the 36th minute.
"Obviously another tough loss in front of another great crowd," said Gamecocks coach Toby Annan, whose team dropped its second straight game with the loss. "I think we are a team in transition. We're transitioning to a new coach and new style of play. We will get it right for about 10-15 minutes and then we slip out of it.”
In the 49th minute, Gamecocks freshman Peter Clement scored a header off a corner kick served by freshman Parker League.
"I'm proud of the lads. I'm proud of how they worked and what they gave."
The Gamecocks also lost 4-1 against Coastal Carolina on Sept. 11 on First Responders Night at Stone Stadium, according to the Daily Gamecock, and then lost their fourth in a row, 1-0, to USC Upstate before finally snapping their skid Sept. 21 with an impressive 2-1 win over Mercer on goals from Jared Frost and Jared Gulden.
