Kershaw County - SC: Appeal Deadline for Reassessment Notices is September 15th

Kershaw County - SC issued the following announcement on July 27.

Kershaw County, SC – Kershaw County property owners have until September 15th to appeal the valuation of their reassessed property value should they feel it is inaccurate. After September 15th, valuations will be fixed and cannot be changed.

To do so, property owners can fill out an appeal form online and mail it in or apply in person at The Kershaw County Assessor’s Office located at 515 Walnut Street in Camden Monday through Friday from 8:30AM until 5:00PM.  

REASSESSMENT BACKGROUND

Kershaw County reassessment notices were mailed to all property owners beginning Thursday, June 17th. If you have not received your reassessment notice, please contact The Kershaw County Assessor’s Office immediately at 803.425.1523.

Reassessment of county property is mandated by The South Carolina General Assembly and is required to occur every five (5) years by law.

REASSESSMENT IS NOT A TAX BILL

Reassessment notices are NOT tax bills. Tax notices will be mailed beginning late September/October of this year.
