Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Columbia College

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Columbia College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

South Carolina students paid $19,500 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 158 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.4 million and 116 students took out student loans totaling more than $767,365.

Including all undergraduates (1,276), 959 students used grants or scholarships totaling $10.8 million, and 958 students took out $6.6 million in federal student loans.
