Cost of college went up for all students at Paul Mitchell the School-Columbia

Tuition and fees rose 3.2 percent for 2018-19 at Paul Mitchell the School-Columbia, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

South Carolina students paid $15,900 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $500 more than the $15,400 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 89 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 33 students received grants or scholarships totaling $151,405 and 45 students took out student loans totaling more than $424,953.

Including all undergraduates (228), 204 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.1 million, and 192 students took out $1.5 million in federal student loans.
