Cost of college went up for all students at Columbia International University

Tuition and fees rose 5.8 percent for 2018-19 at Columbia International University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

South Carolina students paid $23,690 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,300 more than the $22,390 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 87 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.4 million and 60 students took out student loans totaling more than $420,410.

Including all undergraduates (1,048), 467 students used grants or scholarships totaling $6.5 million, and 299 students took out $2.1 million in federal student loans.
