33 percent of applicants to Columbia International University were admitted for fall 2018

At Columbia International University, 83 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Columbia enrolled 1,048 students in fall 2018, including 545 in undergraduate and 503 in graduate programs, data shows. 14.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

43 percent of undergraduates are residents of South Carolina, and 42 percent are residents of other states. 7 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (60 percent) and Black or African American (18 percent).

The school admitted 33 percent of the 611 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 53 percent enrolled.
