Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center recently issued the following announcement.

We are still accepting applications for the Doris Burkett Scholarship. The deadline is next Thursday, March 31. 

Given in honor of the late Doris Burkett, former executive director of the Chamber and proud Gilbert High School graduate – the scholarship is given to a Lexington School District One student who will be attending either a technical college or a four-year college or university. 

One, $5,000 scholarship will awarded. Complete the application today.
