South Carolina Track & Field secured nine victories and set six new Top 10 program marks at the Tiger Track Classic on April 25 in Auburn, Alabama. The event took place at Hutsell-Rosen Track, which will also host the upcoming 2026 Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championship.
The results highlight strong performances from both the women’s and men’s teams. For the women, JaMeesia Ford led with two wins in the 100 meter and 200 meter races, posting season-best times of 11.22 seconds and a facility record-breaking 22.07 seconds respectively. Ford’s performance in the 200 meters currently leads the East Region.
The women’s team dominated the 200 meters by finishing in the top four spots, with Alexis Brown setting a season best for fourth overall in program history, Cynteria James achieving a personal best for seventh all-time, and Zaya Akins also recording a personal best after placing second in the 100 meters. In distance events, Eline Mast won the women’s 800 meters with a personal best that now ranks ninth in school history.
On hurdles and relays, Joslyn Hamilton claimed victory in the women’s 100-meter hurdles while contributing to a win alongside Kyndall Harrington-Spain as part of South Carolina’s successful women’s relay squad.
For men’s competition, Jasauna Dennis won gold in the men’s 400 meters while Edouard Lecrivain triumphed in the men’s 800 meters with a time that places him fourth all-time for South Carolina. Freshman Kaleb Burroughs finished closely behind Lecrivain with his own personal best to secure seventh place historically for South Carolina’s program. The men’s relay team capped off their day by winning their event with one of South Carolina’s fastest times ever recorded.
The Gamecocks are scheduled to conclude their regular season next weekend at Jacksonville’s East Coast Relays on May 1–2.
