This season, the women’s team completed an undefeated regular season in dual meets for the first time in four decades. The program maintained a position in the CSCAA Top 25 poll for 11 consecutive polls since last season, reaching as high as No. 15 in November and ending at No. 18. Team members received multiple SEC Weekly Honors; Sophie Verzyl earned five Diver of the Week awards, while Amy Riordan collected two Swimmer of the Week recognitions.

Both men’s and women’s teams set a combined total of 21 new records during the regular season. Amy Riordan broke four pool records and set a school record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.75. Nora Fluck twice improved upon her own record in the 1000 freestyle. Verzyl achieved a new pool and school record in the one-meter dive at November’s Tennessee Invitational with a score of 375.15.

On the men’s side, Pierre Largeron set a school record in the 500 freestyle (4:13.93), while Einar Agustsson established a new mark in the 100 breaststroke (51.78). The women’s squad also recorded an 800 freestyle pool record (7:08.88), and nine additional pool records were set against Queens at Charlotte’s Levine Aquatic Center.

At this year’s SEC Championship, only athletes ranked among the top 24 qualify for finals in each event except diving events and distance swimming events such as the 1000/1650 freestyle.
