South Carolina State Museum recently issued the following announcement.

Sat., April 2, 2022 from 6 – 9 p.m.

What’s better than oysters, jazz and bluegrass? Having all three together at the South Carolina State Museum Foundation’s inaugural Shuck n’ Swing fundraising event!

Grab a friend and swing on down to the museum as we kick off Jazz Appreciation Month with a shindig filled with shellfish and sweet tunes. Rain or shine, you’ll dine on roasted oysters and other delicious favorites while hopefully saving room to dance.

Enjoy:

  • Steamed Oysters provided by The Oyster Bar, along with an assortment of delicious food by Anna Cline Catering. Click HERE for a full menu.
  • Live jazz music performed by the Soda City Brass Band
  • Toe-tapping tunes preformed by Jim Graddick’s Bluegrass Trio
  • Bar with beer, wine and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages

Proceeds from tickets will go to support educational programming at the South Carolina State Museum!

Please note:
This event will be located outdoors, weather permitting. Should there be poor weather, the event will move to an alternate location inside the museum. Oyster shucking utensils will be provided.

Seating is provided and spread out to allow for social distancing. The museum will continue to follow all local and state guidelines regarding COVID 19.
