South Carolina and Clemson will meet this weekend in a three-game baseball series played at different venues across the state. The first game is scheduled for Friday at Founders Park in Columbia, followed by Saturday’s matchup at Segra Park, home of the Columbia Fireflies. The series concludes Sunday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson.

Friday’s contest will begin at 7 p.m. and can be viewed on SEC Network Plus with Dave Weinstein, Grayson Greiner, and Kip Bouknight providing commentary. Saturday and Sunday’s games start at 3 p.m., streamed via ACC Network Extra. All three games will also be broadcast on the Gamecock Sports Network presented by Learfield, featuring Derek Scott (Friday and Sunday), Cade Crenshaw (Saturday), and Stuart Lake.

Parking for fans attending afternoon games includes designated business lots that open later in the day during weekdays. All gameday parking lots operate cashless; attendees must use debit or credit cards for payment.

The probable pitching rotation features Josh Gunther starting Friday for South Carolina against Clemson’s Aidan Knaak. On Saturday, Amp Phillips takes the mound for South Carolina opposite Michael Sharman of Clemson. Riley Goodman is set to pitch Sunday for South Carolina with Talan Bell slated for Clemson.

Clemson enters the series undefeated with an 8-0 record after sweeping Army and Bryant and securing wins over Charlotte and Presbyterian during midweek matchups. The Tigers have posted a national-best team ERA of 1.43 while limiting opponents to a .163 batting average. Nate Savoie leads Clemson offensively with a .467 batting average and 11 RBIs.

Erik Bakich serves as head coach for Clemson in his fourth season, having previously led Michigan to a runner-up finish at the College World Series in 2019.

Clemson currently holds a 191-145-2 advantage in the all-time series between these programs and swept last year’s three-game set.

South Carolina freshman infielder Will Craddock was recognized as SEC Co-Freshman of the Week following his performance last week, where he went 8-for-15 with nine runs scored, two doubles, one triple, two home runs, two walks, and six RBIs across four victories. He was perfect at the plate against Gardner-Webb on Wednesday and contributed key hits—including leadoff home runs—against Navy on Saturday and Air Force on Sunday.

Talmadge LeCroy returns as catcher for his fifth season after missing part of last year due to injury. With 182 career appearances including 165 starts, LeCroy could join an exclusive group of Gamecocks players who have played over 200 games if he participates in at least 24 more contests this season. He is also nearing entry into South Carolina’s top ten list for career walks.

Sophomore KJ Scobey transitions from third base to shortstop this year after gaining experience with Team USA training camp over summer. Scobey made significant contributions last season including several walk-off hits; he has started strong this year as well.

Amp Phillips earned his first win since transferring from USC Upstate by delivering six shutout innings against Navy earlier this month.

Following their weekend series against Clemson, South Carolina will host USC Upstate on March 3rd and Charleston Southern on March 4th to conclude their double midweek schedule before continuing regular play.
