Just one day after receiving national recognition, the South Carolina men’s 4×400 meter relay team has earned another accolade. The quartet—Josiah Wrice, Jasauna Dennis, Devan Crumpton, and Andrew Salvodon—was named SEC Men’s Runner(s) of the Week.

During the Tiger Paw Invitational on Saturday, the relay team set a program record and posted the second fastest time in collegiate history with a finish of 3:00.86. Wrice started with a 45.42 split, followed by Dennis at 45.15 for his leg. Crumpton maintained the lead with a 45.28 split before Salvodon closed out the race with a 45.02.

This performance places them first among NCAA relay teams this season. Additionally, they are part of a larger 400m squad that is ranked third in the latest USTFCCCA event squad rankings.

The Gamecocks will conclude their indoor regular season by hosting the USC Invite on Saturday, February 21 at Sheila & Morris Cregger Indoor Track.
