South Carolina Track & Field will host the USC Invite at the Sheila & Morris Cregger Indoor Track & Field Facility on Saturday, February 21. This event marks the final regular season indoor meet before the team competes in the SEC Indoor Championship next weekend in College Station, Texas. The meet will also serve as Senior Day for eight athletes.

Live results for the USC Invite are available online, and fans can follow updates on X (Twitter) by following @GamecockTrack.

Attendees should be aware that a clear bag policy is in effect at the Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex. Only one clear, plastic disposable water bottle per person is permitted inside; hard or non-clear refillable bottles are not allowed.

Spectators can park in the Athletics Village Parking Garage for $10 per car without re-entry. Additional city metered parking is available around the complex through the ParkMobile app.

Admission to this weekend’s meet is free. All transactions at the Sheila & Morris Cregger Indoor Track & Field Facility are cash only.

The USC Invite is a one-day event starting with senior recognition at 10:30 a.m., followed by field events at 11:00 a.m. The first Gamecock event, men’s 60m hurdles, begins at 12:10 p.m., and competition concludes with the women’s 4x400m relay at 4:35 p.m. Sixteen teams will participate, including SEC rivals Georgia and Tennessee and ACC competitor Georgia Tech.

Eight seniors—Alexis Brown, Slyvia Chelangat, Brandon Dennis, Cameron Gist, Edouard Lecrivain, Eline Mast, Parker Samuelson, and David Warmington Jr.—will be recognized prior to competition.

Last weekend’s meets in Clemson and Boston saw South Carolina athletes break two program records and record eleven Top 10 program marks while securing six wins. At Clemson’s Tiger Paw Invitational, the men’s team won five events—including all four they entered on day two—while distance runners set several personal bests in Boston. Salma Elbadra set a new mile program record with a time of 4:27.54.

Ahead of upcoming championships, several Gamecocks are positioned to qualify for national competition. To advance to the NCAA Indoor Championship in Fayetteville, Arkansas, athletes must rank among the top sixteen individually or top twelve for relays nationally.

Currently South Carolina has eighteen entries qualified for nationals—twelve from women’s events and six from men’s events. The men’s 4x400m relay team of Josiah Wrice, Jasauna Dennis, Devan Crumpton and Andrew Salvodon holds first place after running what is now recognized as the second fastest collegiate time ever (3:00.86). On the women’s side JaMeesia Ford (200m), Zaya Akins (400m), and Salma Elbadra (3000m) each rank third nationally in their respective events; their relay team also ranks third after posting a time of 3:27.75 at an earlier invitational. In field events Jathiyah Muhammad ranks sixth nationally in pole vault (4.50 meters), Logan Montgomery sits tenth in men’s shot put (19.64 meters), and freshman Tristen Harris holds fourteenth place in long jump.

National rankings reflect these achievements—the Gamecock women stand fourth overall according to USTFCCCA Top 25 while men have moved up to fourteenth place nationwide. Both teams maintain strong positions across multiple track disciplines as well.
