The South Carolina beach volleyball team began the Wheeler Beach Bash with two victories, defeating Austin Peay 5-0 and Texas A&M Corpus-Christi 4-1. The event took place in Columbia, South Carolina.

In the first match against Austin Peay, the Gamecocks secured wins on all six courts. Evie Ziffer and Julia Waugh led on court one with a 21-14, 21-15 win. Juju Quintero and Annalyse Askew contributed another point from the fourth position, winning their sets 21-17, 21-11. VB Trost and Grace Travis dominated court three with a score of 21-14, 21-3. Brooke Balue and Rachel Hartmann clinched another point with a 21-12, 21-18 victory.

Against Texas A&M Corpus-Christi, Quintero and Askew started strong by winning their match in straight sets (21-17, 21-10). Ziffer and Waugh lost their match on court one (19-21, 16-21), but the Gamecocks responded by pushing three other matches to three sets. Jolie Cranford and Peyton Yamagata won after dropping the second set but taking the third frame decisively at 15-7. Balue and Hartmann also came back from a second-set loss to win their final set 15-13. Trost and Travis finished off their opponents with scores of 15-21, 21-18, and 15-9.
