The University of South Carolina announced on April 24 that its baseball game against Kentucky, originally scheduled for later in the day on Saturday, April 25, will now begin at 1 p.m. at Founders Park.

The schedule change was made because storms are expected to arrive in the Midlands late Saturday afternoon. The university said the decision aims to ensure player and fan safety by avoiding severe weather during the event.

According to the announcement, fans can watch the game via streaming on SEC Network Plus. No additional changes have been reported for other games or events.

This adjustment reflects how weather forecasts can impact collegiate sporting events and scheduling decisions throughout the season.

Further updates will be provided if there are additional changes related to weather or scheduling.
