The office of U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) has begun accepting applications for nominations to U.S. military academies for the class of 2030. Each year, Senator Scott can nominate a select number of South Carolina students to attend the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy does not require a congressional nomination.

Senator Scott stated, “Our nation’s prestigious service academies offer extensive educational and career opportunities, and gaining acceptance to one of these distinguished institutions is a tremendous honor. It is a privilege to have a role in helping students pursue a rewarding academic and professional career in the U.S. military, and I look forward to nominating students who represent the best of our nation.”

Students interested in seeking a nomination must submit their applications by 11:59 PM EST on October 17, 2025. Additional information about the application process is available at www.scott.senate.gov/academy.
