The Southeastern Conference announced on Apr. 8 the appearance schedule for its annual SEC Football Kickoff Media Days, which will be held from July 20 to July 23 at the Tampa Marriott Water Street and JW Marriott in Tampa, Florida.
This marks the first time that both the city of Tampa and the state of Florida will host this preseason media event. Previous years saw Dallas, Nashville, and Atlanta serve as hosts.
A detailed daily schedule including television information, rotational breakdowns, and student-athletes attending is expected to be released before the event in early July. The SEC Network will provide national coverage throughout all four days.
The coaches scheduled to appear are listed alphabetically by school rather than by their actual order of appearance each day. On Monday, July 20: Will Stein (Kentucky), Eliah Drinkwitz (Missouri), Brent Venables (Oklahoma), and Josh Heupel (Tennessee) are set to attend. Tuesday’s lineup includes Alex Golesh (Auburn), Kirby Smart (Georgia), Shane Beamer (South Carolina), and Clark Lea (Vanderbilt). Wednesday features Kalen DeBoer (Alabama), Jon Sumrall (Florida), Pete Golding (Ole Miss), and Mike Elko (Texas A&M). Thursday concludes with Ryan Silverfield (Arkansas), Lane Kiffin (LSU), Jeff Lebby (Mississippi State), and Steve Sarkisian (Texas).
Further updates about participating student-athletes and specific programming details will be made available as the event approaches.
