The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking public input on a proposed bridge repair, rehabilitation, and preservation project in Union County. The project involves the SC 49 and SC 215 Connector (Monarch Highway) over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.

The initiative aims to conduct comprehensive and cost-effective repairs to eliminate current load restrictions and extend the bridge’s service life. Public comments are invited from June 11 to July 11, 2025.
