Mount Pleasant issued the following announcement on March 1.
MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (March 1, 2022) – Mount Pleasant Town Hall has been illuminated with blue and yellow lights to show support for Ukraine amid the Russian invasion. “The people of Mount Pleasant, members of Town Council, town staff and I proudly show that we stand with the citizens of Ukraine by displaying their national colors on our town hall. We join those around the world shining the light of freedom against oppression,” said Mayor Will Haynie. Mount Pleasant is proud to join other local, state and national landmarks in showcasing their support of the besieged country.
