Midlands Technical College announces EMT course at Fairfield County campus

Midlands Technical College announced on Mar. 25 that it will offer an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course at its Fairfield Campus, Room 123, beginning Monday, September 21 and ending Wednesday, January 20, 2027.

The program is intended for those interested in starting a career in Emergency Medical Services or expanding their skills in patient care. The college said the classes will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., excluding holidays. Patrick R Dineen, Deputy Chief of Clinical Services at Fairfield County EMS, is listed as the tentative instructor.

To apply for the course, interested individuals can register online through Midlands Technical College’s website. Financial assistance is available for qualified applicants through programs such as the Quick Jobs Scholarship.

Eligibility requirements include attending a mandatory information session and residing in either Fairfield, Richland, or Lexington County.
