Redshirt senior Logan Sutter from the University of South Carolina has been named a Preseason All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), according to an announcement made on Friday, February 6.

Sutter was selected for the fourth team as a second baseman. He joins South Carolina as a graduate transfer after spending his last two seasons at Purdue. During the 2025 season, Sutter played in 54 games and posted a .367 batting average with 22 doubles, 15 home runs, and 62 runs batted in. Over his two years with the Boilermakers, he recorded 38 doubles, hit 23 home runs, and drove in 99 runs. His performance earned him second team All-Big Ten honors in 2025 and selection to the ABCA All-Midwest Region first team.

Sutter began his college baseball career at Folsom Lake College. In 2023, he hit .390 and was recognized twice as an All-Big 8 selection. That same year, he was also named a junior college All-American.

The Gamecocks are scheduled to start their 2026 season on Friday, February 13, hosting Northern Kentucky at Founders Park. The game is set to begin at 4 p.m. and will be available for streaming on SEC Network Plus.
