Jordan Pace, a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, has recently used his social media platform to address legislative and university policies in the state. His recent posts cover upcoming legislative hearings, university health requirements, and allegations regarding taxpayer-funded activities at a state university.
On December 11, 2025, Pace posted about an important development concerning election laws: “According to House Rules, Rep Burns Closed Primary bill, H.3310, must be scheduled for a hearing before the end of January 2026. This will be the first time it’s heard in committee in my lifetime. We need everyone to show up to this committee when it’s scheduled. Stay alert! “.
The following day, on December 12, 2025, Pace highlighted ongoing enrollment requirements at South Carolina’s medical universities: “Did you know that all three taxpayer funded medical universities in SC still require this jab in order to enroll? Legislative leadership had a chance to fix this (a bill by @jones4liberty) in 2024 but actively chose to ignore it. We’ll provide another opportunity in 2026”. The post refers to legislative efforts that were not advanced in 2024 and suggests renewed attempts will be made in the coming year.
On December 13, 2025, Pace commented on activities at Coastal Carolina University: “This barbarism is being facilitated by your SC tax dollars via Coastal Carolina University We’re going to put a stop to this.”
South Carolina lawmakers periodically introduce bills affecting primary elections and university policies. The closed primary bill referenced by Pace is part of ongoing debates over how parties select candidates for general elections. In previous years, legislation addressing vaccine mandates at public institutions was considered but did not pass into law. State universities such as Coastal Carolina University receive public funding from taxpayers through allocations approved by the legislature.
