South Carolina’s track and field teams concluded their home indoor season with strong performances at the USC Invite, held at the Sheila & Morris Cregger Indoor Track & Field Facility in Columbia. The meet featured five top-10 program marks and seven event wins.

Senior Eline Mast led the women’s team by winning both the mile and 800-meter races. Mast finished the mile in 4:47.08, which placed her seventh on South Carolina’s all-time list. She also set a personal best of 2:09.13 in the 800 meters, advancing to tenth overall in program history.

In the women’s 3000 meters, Hattie Jennings won with a personal best of 9:37.68, earning her the tenth fastest time in school history. Teammates Allie Matasich (9:40.47) and Ella Zeigler (9:58.33) completed a sweep of the top three spots for South Carolina.

Hailey Duncan set personal records throughout all rounds of the women’s 60-meter dash, ultimately finishing third in the finals with a time of 7.69 seconds. Akala Garrett tied her personal best in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.11 seconds to finish as runner-up and was recognized as the top collegiate finisher.

Jathiyah Muhammad claimed victory in women’s pole vault with a height of 4.00 meters (13-1½), marking her fourth win this season.

On the men’s side, Jasauna Dennis won the 400 meters with his season-best time of 46.07 seconds while Devan Crumpton took third place after running a personal best of 46.40 seconds.

The men’s distance medley relay team—composed of Jaouad Khchina, Andrew Salvodon, Edouard Lecrivain, and Carlos Lanzagorta-Ruiz—finished second with a time of 9:36.71, which is now third fastest in school history.

In men’s middle-distance events, Knox Eaton won the 800 meters with a personal record of 1:49.18 to move into seventh on South Carolina’s all-time list; Ricky Circelli finished second at 1:49.40 for eighth overall.

Freshman Khaliq Muhammad earned his third home win this year by clearing 5.32 meters (17-5½) in men’s pole vault.

Meanwhile, away from Columbia at Winston-Salem’s ASICS Last Chance Invitational, South Carolina’s women’s distance medley relay team—Abigail White, Zaya Akins, Slyvia Chelangat, and Salma Elbadra—set a new program record by finishing in 10:48.42, nearly three seconds faster than their previous mark and ranking them eleventh nationally ahead of NCAA Indoor Championship selections where only twelve teams advance.

The Gamecocks are scheduled to compete next at the SEC Indoor Championships on February 27–28 in College Station, Texas.
