FOIA Request to South Carolina State Board of Education Regarding Instructional Mandates for State K-12 Schools on December 10, 2024.

The Columbia Standard, a media organization committed to comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the South Carolina State Board of Education. The request seeks access to records detailing all instructional mandates for state K-12 schools in South Carolina.

The requested information includes a list of all required courses and general instruction within the state’s K-12 educational system. This data is essential for us at Columbia Standard as we continue our work in holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
