About Callie:

Miss Capital City- Callie Farrell Callie became a blood donor at age 16 while volunteering at a blood drive at her high school. During her years at the University of South Carolina, Callie continued to volunteer for the Carolina-Clemson Blood Battle. It was during this time that Callie created her own initiative, Blood Connects Us All. Through this initiative, Callie not only works to elevate blood donations, but she also educates others about the importance of blood donations, and encourages others to donate when they are able. Currently, Callie serves as Miss Capital City. As Miss Capital City, she has created a lesson called Blood in a Bottle that she shares with elementary students about the parts of our blood and how it works. She has also hosted numerous blood drives that have resulted in over 300 lives saved. Callie not only talks the talk, she walks the walk; donating over 2 gallons of blood so far. She will continue to spread awareness about the importance of blood donations this summer as she competes for the job of Miss South Carolina.
